Young scientists from Russia and India discussed the relationship between countries at a three-day online conference. The event was timed to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty on Peace, Friendship and Cooperation between the USSR and India. The leading universities of the countries, politicians, experts and historians took part in it.
Indian Ambassador to Russia Bala Venkatesh Varma also took part in the meeting. The ambassador stressed that “in India to this day they remember and highly appreciate the support of the USSR, expressed in the signing of an agreement, which gave a powerful impetus to the development of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries.”
