The head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), Kirill Dmitriev, spoke about the peculiarities of Sputnik V vaccine production in India:
“We are working to ensure that the production of Sputnik V in India primarily extends to Indian consumers, but we also expect that from the very beginning and after some time, some of the vaccines produced in India will be exported to more than 60 countries around the world that have already registered the Sputnik V vaccine”.
RDIF has started cooperation with the world’s largest vaccine producer by volume, Serum Institute of India (SII). The first batch of the Russian vaccine is scheduled for release as early as September.
“Sputnik V is registered in 67 countries with a total population of over 3.5 billion people.
