India lifts international flight ban

According to the Ministry of Civil Aviation of India, the ban on international air travel is lifted from 27th of March, 2022. The ban was in effect for two years due to the COVID-19.

The aviation authority said in a press release that the decision to resume regular commercial international passenger traffic was made after consultation with the parties involved and taking into account the widespread vaccination campaign in the world.

India signed bilateral “air bubble” agreements with selected countries since July 2020. These agreements were concluded with 28 countries, including Russia, and made it possible to operate flights in conditions of limited air traffic.
