On 21st of September hosted a meeting of the Director of the Department of External Relations Alexander Kopkov and the Deputy Director of the National Technical Textiles Mission of the Ministry of Textile of India Prashant Kumar Meena.
Representatives of the Business Council for Cooperation with India and Soyuzexpertiza also took part in the meeting.
During the meeting, Prashant Kumar Meena claim that the Government of India is introducing incentive measures to support the Indian manufacturing sector by developing industrial technology parks. Particular attention is paid to technical fabrics that can be used in construction, automotive industry, geodesy, defense and other areas.
Alexander Kopkov, for his part, noted that the Indian direction is becoming more and more attractive for Russian business and India is one of the priority directions in the international activities of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation.
Attention was also focused on the fact that the indicators of the Russian-Indian trade turnover do not correspond to the potential of bilateral trade. The parties supported the initiative to conduct more sectoral business missions for closer interaction between the business circles of both countries.
Aleksey Zavadsky, Deputy General Director of Soyuzexpertiza, introduced the Indian colleagues to the organization’s capacities and services useful for Indian exporters.
The executive secretary of the Business Council for Cooperation with India, Zlata Antusheva provided detailed information about the events held and planned jointly with the Indian side, as well as about promising projects for bilateral cooperation.
The participants of the meeting agreed to continue working contacts and develop a plan of joint actions on the trade and economic track.
