Sputnik V vaccine to be tested in India
Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories Ltd (Dr. Reddy's) has been approved by the Comptroller General of India (DCGI) to conduct Phase II and III clinical trials of Sputnik V vaccine in India. The randomized controlled trials will complement the data that will emerge from vaccine trials in Belarus, Venezuela and the United Arab Emirates.Sputnik V is the first coronavirus vaccine. Its mass production began on August 15th. Citizens from the risk group and doctors will be the first to be vaccinated.
