Russia-India meeting was held within the framework of WEF-2018
А meeting of representatives of Russia and India was held during the Eastern economic forum. Minister of industry and trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov and acting head of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolaev represented the Russian side in a dialogue with the Minister of trade and industry of India Suresh Prabhu. During the talks, the sides discussed the development of bilateral relations in the field of railway and power engineering, strengthening cooperation in the chemical industry, metallurgy, aviation and shipbuilding, as well as in the field of waste management.It also approved the holding of The Russian-Indian business summit in conjunction with the 19th Russian-Indian annual summit in 2019. The event will focus not only on the partnership of countries in various sectors, but also the development of small and medium businesses.
"The support provided by the state is always in demand from large companies, but it is not always a determining factor in their development. Meanwhile, small and medium-sized businesses are also able to introduce innovations and provide added value, but at certain stages of state support can play a crucial role," - said the head of the Ministry of industry and trade of Russia.
