Russia and India discussed the development of the chemical industry.
The meeting of the subgroup on cooperation in the field of fertilizers, the Working group on modernization and cooperation in the field of industry of the intergovernmental Russian-Indian Commission on trade, economic, scientific, technical and cultural cooperation was held in new Delhi (India) on August 28-29. Issues of cooperation in the sphere of production and export of mineral fertilizers were discussed at the meeting."In particular, they discussed the possibility of reducing or zeroing import customs duties on certain types of mineral fertilizers in the framework of the ongoing work on the creation of a free economic zone between the Republic of India and the EAEU member States," the report said.
Representatives of Russian companies PJSC "Uralkali" and JSC "FosAgro" has made a number of proposals, contributing to the expansion of existing relationships. The parties agreed to discuss them, as well as the issue of expanding the subgroup, within the framework of the forthcoming meeting of the Commission scheduled for September 2018 in Moscow.
