Joint discovery of scientists from India and Russia
A group of scientists from the Siberian Federal University (SFU, Russia) and the University. Mahatma Gandhi (India) has developed a new nanocomposite material for protection against electromagnetic radiation. Its effectiveness is much higher than metal counterparts."The coefficient of material efficiency, sufficient for industrial applications, is 20 dB; the material we have created has a higher rate of up to 40 dB. A material with such significant characteristics is a composite based on polytrimethyl terrifthalate and nanocomposites of multi-layered carbon nanotubes and has high conductive properties, therefore designed for shielding elements in the conditions of electromagnetic radiation, primarily in the range of ultra-high frequencies ", - explained Sabu Thomas, head of research, professor of SFU.
