The Regional Public Organization “BRICS. World of Traditions” and the International Youth Edu-Skills Foundation, Noida, India, are preparing for the realization of the International and Interregional social and cultural “BRICS People Choosing Life” that will be implemented from 2022 to 2025 under the motto “From the ecology of soul and body to the ecology of the world”.
The program starts with the Indian phase that will be held December, 12th-21st, 2022 in New Delhi, Mumbai and Pune and will be dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and India, the 75th anniversary of the Independence of India and the 550th anniversary of the journey of Tver merchant Afanasy Nikitin to India.
The program is aimed at unification of peoples, cities, educational institutions of Russia and India through joint realization of the program’s projects in the fields of culture, art, education, trade and business cooperation, preservation and popularization of the cultural, historical heritage of the peoples of the two countries.
The presentation of the program will be held in the Moscow State Institute of International Relations as part of the International Meeting “BRICS Youth Unity Day” on 3rd of November, 2022.
In New Delhi the Program will be presented at the extended press conference December, 12th, 2022, which will be organized together with the Confederation of Young Leaders. The list of honored guests will include the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of India Denis Alipov, Trade commissioner of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India Alexander Rybas, Head of the Russian House in New Delhi Oleg Osipov, and the representatives of the Indian Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of Culture.
As part of the humanitarian track the presentation of “The Russian and Indian cultural and educational centre of Mahatma Gandhi and Leo Tolstoy” will be held in Delhi Public School, Dwarka. The partner from the Russian side is State Budgetary Educational Institution of Moscow “School № 1409″. During the event it is planned to sign the Agreement of cooperation between the two schools.
An exhibition of young artists and designers from Moscow will be held in the Russian House in Mumbai. The participants will give their works as gifts to Indian orphan houses, pensions and hospitals as part of the Charity action “Children to Children”.
As a part of the program, it is also planned to hold a presentation of the “Great BRICS Teachers” project at the Mahatma Gandhi Museum in Mumbai with the participation of students from the University of Mumbai and at Savitribai Phule Pune University.
An international scientific conference dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Independence of India will be held at Snehavardhan Research Institute on the initiative of Pune academics.
The jubilee event “In Memory of Afanasy Nikitin” will be held on the territory of Pilankar College in Revdanda (state of Maharashtra) near the monument to the merchant from Tver. During the meeting the Russian delegation will bring the idea of developing friendly ties between this college and Svistalovskaya school of Tver Region, the Motherland of Afanasy Nikitin.
The Business track will be organized by the Union “Chamber of Trade and Industry of Samara Region”. One of the Indian partners of the Program is the company “DG Global Business Consultants” (DGBC), New Delhi.
Multisectoral business events and presentation of Russian production aimed at developing Russian export of high-quality items, goods and technologies will take place in India Russian House in New Delhi and Mumbai and the Centre of International Trade in Pune. From the Russian side, enterprises from the food industry, agriculture and agricultural engineering, metallurgy will be represented.
