India has approved the use in the country of the Russian vaccine against the coronavirus “Sputnik V”.
The application for emergency use of the Russian drug was approved by the committee of experts of the state regulator of India in the field of medicines. Now the vaccine must be approved by the Comptroller General of Medicines of India (DCGI), after which the drug can be used in the country on a par with the other two approved vaccines.
