India confirms participation in the Eastern Economic Forum — 2021

Adviser to the President of the Russian Federation Anton Kobyakov and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of India to the Russian Federation Bala Venkatesh Varma discussed India’s participation in the EEF-2021.
 
“The parties discussed possible formats of India’s participation in the EEF-2021 and SPIEF-2022, the composition of the delegation, the events of the business program, agreements that can be signed between the countries, “ the news agency said
The Indian diplomat noted the special importance for India in the participation and organization of the forum:
 
“We are interested in organizing a trilateral meeting “Russia — India — Japan”, as well as meetings at the level of federal ministers of Russia and India. India looks forward to expanding Russian-Indian business contacts at the regional level. Business representatives of the state of Gujarat were invited to the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to consolidate the agreements in the diamond industry and pharmaceuticals reached at the Forum in 2019. The EEF opens a window of opportunities for the implementation of joint business interests in the conditions of closed borders,” Varma said.
