Cooperation between Russia and India did not stop even in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. The Russian Ministry of Energy and the Indian Ministry of Steel Industry have prepared a draft memorandum of cooperation in the field of energy. This was stated by the Deputy Minister of Energy Anatoly Yanovsky. During the Coal and Mining exhibition, the official said that the meetings under this memorandum were held via videoconference, “and our Indian partners stated that they would like to purchase at least 40 million tons of coking coal in Russia.”
Russian suppliers have every opportunity to meet this demand.
