From November 29th to December 1st, 2022, the “Indo-Russian Travel and Tourism Fair” is going to be held in the city of Trivandrum, Kerala, which will become an exclusive platform for increasing the bilateral flow of tourists. The organizers of the fair will be: Russian House in Trivandrum, Honorary Consulate of Russia in Trivandrum, Department of Tourism of the Government of Kerala and the Government of Moscow with the support of the Business Council for Cooperation with India.
The main goal of the fair is the promotion of inbound and outbound tourism with an emphasis on popularization of the South Indian destination.
The fair will be a platform for the dialogue between the representatives of the tourism industry of Russia and India, will strengthen ties and build mutually beneficial partnerships between participating companies. The event will include both thematic seminars, including those on the potential of Moscow tourism, and a number of B2B meetings. The seminars will focus on winter tourism, monsoon tourism, medical and Ayurvedic tourism.
More than 70 Indian tour operators and hospitality representatives from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Veliky Novgorod and Krasnoyarsk will take part in the fair. Moscow will be represented by such companies as FUN&SUN, LUXURY VOYAGE, MOS-TOUR, GRANDRUS TOURS.
Trivandrum is one of the leading destinations in the South Asian region, the tourist flow to which is growing from year to year.
Also it is worth noting the potential of the Russian tourist destination for Indian residents. In the number of tourist trips of foreign citizens to the Russian Federation in 2021, India ranks 14th.
