Business mission in New Delhi

A business mission of Russian companies to the Republic of India was held in New Delhi on June 13 to 17, 2022. The event was organized by the Business Council for Cooperation with India together with the Department for External Economic and International Relations of Moscow.
On 13th of June, 2022, a meeting of the delegation of Russian business representatives with the team of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India, headed by Alexander Rybas was organized. The Trade Representative noted that India is a competitive market for Russian business, now such areas of cooperation as industrial construction, the aviation sector, and cooperation in the field of transport and infrastructure solutions are especially promising. A.Rybas also pointed out that since the end of February, the number of applications from Russian enterprises has increased significantly.
Within the framework of the mission, on 15th of June, a round table “Economic Dialogue: 75 Years of Cooperation between Russia and India” was held and B2B meetings for Russian companies that arrived as part of a mission from the mining and engineering industries, as well as pharmaceuticals and cosmetology.
Round table speakers were: Alexey Bondaruk, Deputy Head of the Department for External Economic and International Relations of the City of Moscow; Denis Alipov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of India; Alexander Rybas, Trade Representative of the Russian Federation in the Republic of India; Subhash Goyal, Member, Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Chairman, STIC Travel Group; Dilbag Singh, Secretary General, Atmanirbhar Global Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AGCCI); Nikita Zhvachkin, Head of Corporate and Financial Institution Department PJSC Sberbank.
During the speech, Alexey Bondaruk noted that in recent years the range of economic sectors in which Russia and India interact has significantly expanded. Active cooperation is under way in the chemical, pharmaceutical, oil and gas and oil refining industries, in the field of high technologies and smart solutions. The readiness of Moscow to provide comprehensive support in matters of the environmental agenda, waste recycling, urban improvement and the organization of the transport and logistics system and parking space was mentioned.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of India underlined that over 75 years of diplomatic relations, the countries have achieved a lot: joint endeavors resulted in the Indian industrialization, scientific, technological and space programmes, trusted strategic and defense partnerships, nuclear power, energy and infrastructure projects laid down a solid foundation to further promote forward-looking mutually beneficial ties.
In addition, during the mission, a number of negotiations with representatives of the Government of Delhi and the Confederation of Indian Industry were held.
