​Russia to provide emergency aid to India

 

Russia will provide emergency assistance to India in connection with the humanitarian situation in India . More than 22 tons of humanitarian aid, including 20 pieces of equipment for oxygen production, 75 artificial lung ventilation devices, 150 medical monitors and 200 thousand packages of medicines, will be delivered to India by flights of the Ministry of Emergency Situations.
The first plane with humanitarian aid from Russia flew to India from Zhukovsky airport, the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations told RBC. All the equipment will be transported by two flights of IL-76 aircraft.
India buys the Russian vaccine “Sputnik V” for vaccination of the population. The first batch of the drug should be delivered on May 1. In addition, India itself should launch the production of the Russian drug.
