Russia, India to boost cooperation in war on terror

MOSCOW, March 31. /TASS/. Moscow and Delhi have agreed to boost cooperation in the fight against terrorism and other global security challenges, the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement following the Moscow meeting between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleg Syromolotov and Indian Deputy National Security Advisor Arvind Gupta.

"The parties discussed issues related to cooperation in the fight against international terrorism and extremism, and exchanged views on terrorist threats facing various parts of the world, particularly Afghanistan, Syria and the Middle East," the statement reads. "An agreement was reached on further boosting bilateral cooperation and interaction within international organizations in order to fight terrorism and other global security challenges," the statement adds.
