Russia and India to set up working group on gas

Deputy Energy Minister Pavel Sorokin announced the creation of a Russian-Indian Task Force on Gas. He spoke about this at the opening of the Indian Energy Center in Moscow. Sorokin also told about the functionality of the newly opened center: "The new center will serve as a project office to establish interaction between key Indian energy companies and Russian business."
A contract for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the Arctic LNG-2 project is currently being discussed, said Tarun Kapoor, Deputy Minister of Oil and Natural Gas of India. The first stage of the Arctic LNG-2 plant is planned to be launched in 2023.
The Indian energy market is one of the most promising. Because in the coming decade, India will become the largest source of energy demand.
