Indian diplomats took part in the bike parade

May 19 in Moscow was a bike parade. The Indian team took part in it. The Indian program consisted of a photo exhibition and theatrical part of the arrival. On stage were artists of the Cultural Center. J. Nehru at the Embassy of India, as well as the famous musician Stas Namin and his ensemble.
Ambassador of India to Russia Bala Venkatesh Varma thanked the mayor of Moscow and the city administration for the opportunity to participate in the event and spread the ideas of Mahatma Gandhi in honor of the 150th anniversary of his birth.
"This is another sign of a very strong friendship between India and Russia. I also want to greet all residents of Moscow. I want them to enjoy this wonderful day and a wonderful event," the ambassador said.
“We celebrate the 150th anniversary of the birth of Mahatma Gandhi this year. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin kindly agreed to hold a part of the celebration here at the bicycle festival. We are happy to see so many people here who respect the principles of the Gandhi-peace, non-use of violence” he said.
