India to produce Russian Sputnik V vaccine

The Russian Direct Investment Fund has entered into an agreement with Indian companies to produce more than 300 million doses per year of the Sputnik V coronavirus vaccine. Kirill Dmitriev, the head of the fund, announced this.
“Indian experts have seen what the Russian vaccine is doing. We have already entered into a production agreement with Indian companies to produce more than 300 million doses of Russian vaccine per year,” he said in an interview.
He also said that the Russian side had given answers to all the questions that worried the Indian colleagues.
Dmitriev said that Russia had received requests for more than a billion doses of coronavirus vaccine from different countries.
“We believe that by co-producing the vaccine with India, we can deliver the vaccine to all countries, all key countries in the world. It is a proven and safe technology for human adenovirus, and we have received requests for over a billion doses from different countries. As I said, more 300 million (doses) a year, we believe we can produce in India, "he said.
