India plans to open entry for Russian tourists in summer

The resumption of the tourist flow between India and Russia is planned for the summer period. The Ambassador of the Republic of India Bala Venkatesh Varma told about it.
- It all depends on how the situation with the coronavirus pandemic will develop. As soon as possible. This will tentatively happen in the summer, the diplomat said. At the moment, foreign citizens are allowed to enter the country only on a business visa - to participate in conferences, research, medical treatment, and so on. Diplomats and members of official delegations are also allowed to enter the country. Venkatesh Varma also stressed that the opening of Indian borders to tourists directly depends on the progress of vaccinations in both countries.
