Rosatom will supply new upgraded fuel to the Kundakulam nuclear power plant, which is under construction in India. Fuel TVS-2M is safer, more reliable and has an extended service life.
"The upgraded fuel TVS-2M will help to improve the efficiency of Indian VVER reactors, as well as reduce the cost of electricity, "explains Alexander Ugryumov, Vice President for scientific and technical activities of the fuel company Rosatom TVEL JSC.
Kudankulam nuclear power plant is being built in Tamil Nadu with Russia's participation in the framework of an intergovernmental agreement. Two power units have been put into operation at the station.
